Editorial policy
Global Public Review aims to explain public ideas accurately, fairly and in language readers can follow. This policy describes how we handle claims, corrections, independence and material made with partner support.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable, identifiable sources and take care to distinguish established information from interpretation, uncertainty or argument. We define terms when their meaning may not be familiar and avoid presenting one country's institutions or practices as a global norm. We do not claim research or access we have not carried out.
Independence and disagreement
Editorial choices are made for relevance to readers and the publication's subject, not to promise favourable coverage. We aim to describe significant disagreements fairly, clarify the basis for competing claims where possible and avoid false equivalence. A contributor's stated position does not automatically represent the publication's view.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or unclear passage, they can contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and concern. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the text with a clear correction note appropriate to the error. We do not silently present a material factual correction as if it had always been there.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee editorial endorsement or control. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, they are identified as such where they appear.
