Write for us
We welcome pitches that make a public idea, institution or shared choice easier for general readers to understand. A strong proposal is specific, carefully framed and useful beyond a single day's debate.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear explainers, thoughtful comparisons, accessible histories of public ideas and essays that examine how civic language shapes understanding. A pitch should name its central question, say what readers will learn and explain why the subject fits Global Public Review. Original angles are more useful than broad surveys.
What makes a good pitch
Keep the proposal concise and include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and any important limits or uncertainties. Tell us what is distinctive about your approach and how you would support factual claims. We value plain language, careful distinctions and subjects that do not require readers to rely on professional advice.
How to send a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please describe your proposed piece rather than sending a finished article unless we have requested one. We cannot promise a response time or acceptance, and submission does not guarantee publication.
